3 tips on reading Pulmonary Artery Occlusion Pressure (PAOP)/pulmonary wedge pressure (PWP) with EKG





PWP should be measured as



  • mean of 'A' wave

  • at end expiration

  • after QRS complex of EKG

It is recommended to read wedge pressure from paper print out instead of directly from monitor
